Because of massive registering of bot/spam accounts (ive deleted over 60 accounts today alone) i see no other way out of it then blocking the registration of accounts using these email providers for the unforseen future:

We are back, it took some time and lots of hard and boring work but here we are....

For some time now the limit on chars for AE usernames have been set a bit to high, ive lowered the limit now, so if you have a username you would like to have altered send me a PM and ill change it for you if possible :).

Im looking for a few good men (or women), who would like to help out with writing original stories, approving and fixing news people submit as well as help hold the fort so to speak, if this sounds interesting, send me a PM.

While i was making a new forum today i noticed we have a few forums we could live without that have been rarely used, but there might be a few new ones we could add, please post your ideas for new forums here and ill see what can be done about it :).

Fred has been working on updating AROS-Exec and has made progress, but his time is extremely limited. We are looking for someone to help Fred and complete the AROS-Exec transformation. Fred has agreed to give the person direction to let them know what is needed and what has been completed.

The competition committee ceremonially opens the competition poll to chose the winning image. The poll is linked externally due to limitations of the XOOPS system. Because of the amount of submitted entries a pre-selection has been done to select the best 20. To view the images and to vote, please visit the following site:

http://www.kyynel.biz/aroswallpapercompetition/

The poll ends at July 31st, the winning image and the best 10 then will be disclosed.

Due to the upcoming competition deadline on May 31st your AE competition team started to collect and check submitted entries.

All collected entries can be found here:
http://www.kyynel.biz/aroswallpapercompetition/

There are still some days left and fresh entries are very welcome.

ATTENTION: All participants are requested to check their submissions for conflicts with the current project name change to AROS Research Operating System. Wallpapers referring to Amiga Research Operating System cannot be used within the project and cannot take part in the competition poll.

For other updates/remarks just leave a comment.

Due to a certain need for new Wanderer backgrounds, everyone is invited to the official:

"AROS: call for wall-papers"

The wallpapers should be placed in Aros-Exec gallery and should have a minimal size of 800x600, images in multiple resolutions would be best.

Since there is no resizing of wallpapers supported in Wanderer, the image content might be aligned to the upper left corner, so using a 1024x786 background image in a 800x600 resolution would not cut any logos or sensitive parts.

All images must be released under APL and must not contain any foreign copyrighted materials!

The competition deadline is May 31st, after which a poll will be starting to nominate the winning image. This will be set as the default desktop background in the nightly builds.

Due to the fact that i am more or less the only one doing anything here and my time is quite limited at times im looking for some more Journalists/Moderators to help out.
