TeamAROS Bounty #12 (FAT32 Support) is open once again. The work that was done by Nate Downes will be sumbitted to the CVS sometime this week for the next person(s) to work with.

In a long article discussing on 31 different Distros (each one briefly), italian newspaper "Linux Magazine" (in the issue of may 2004) not only points also at Freedos, BeOS, QNX... but also it citates AROS... and says: «Take a look on this project... It's still not usable, but has horsepower in it, and it is very very promising. It could became famous in the future!»

TeamAROS has a new bounty, Bounty #15. Looks like the PPC Linux folks wants AROS running on their -Edit- PowerPC Machines. ;)

Just released PyAROS 0.1r3, based on Python 2.2.1. The binaries now work with the current AROS builds. Except for a small compile fix (the AROS C headers changed slightly), this is a straight recompile of the 0.1 codebase.

After teasing us with his test apps, Fabio Alemagna has decided the ScreenMode Prefs application is useable enough for the masses.

Update your CVS trees and check out his new addition to the AROS Prefs suite (Should also be part of the ISOs from tonight).

It sure feels good changing resolution on the Nvidia cards =).

N.B. - some GFX drivers don't support different resolutions currently,(notably the Vesa and VGA hidds) but hopefully something will be done about that at some point =)

We are currently looking for a few more moderators to help us with writing news and in general running this site. It would be best if those who apply know a bit about AROS, or running a site in general. But the most important thing is that you are motivated and intend to be active.
