Even after setting KDE to 'active' dolphin FTP does not work. The problem seems to be with dolphin as I was able to get files using command line ftp and Iceweasel.

Sorry, I can't reproduce the issue.

I can download/upload file from/to the Icaros machines without any issue, no matter where files were born. BTW, that's exactly what I do to move files between my test environments and my Linux development box.

BTW: are you sure the Active/Passive option for the FTP client is correctly set to 'active'?

I checked the ftp server box and am able to connect to it from the Linux host. Uploading files work but I cannot get files created in AROS. Does the anonymous ftp user have full read permission by default?
