I remember long ago we had a similar issue with edit. IIRC, it locked the file when using it but never released it before saving operations, leading to a silently unchanged file. But this bug should be gone completely.

Are you sure you havent protected the file somehow, or locked it with another process?

I tryed to use the "setclock reset" and "load" but not getting any better.

Im using v1.5.1 ABI v0 from jan 22 and "default" filesystem SFS I guess.

I don't have any other problems (that I know of)
Verry stabile otherwise.

Im having some "save" problems with edit.

trying to save over a file already saved the edited file does?nt save at all
the old file is not updated. I tried both "save" and "save as"

I started the edit(or) with "run edit example" in ram:

if I save some text in file "example" with edit and then alter the text slightly
and use "save as" to overwrite the file, the altered text don?t save.

I used "type example" to se if tha saving worked or not.

Saving to a NEW filename works thou.
