I think this is related to the fact that OWB is opening a modal window and until you don't provide an input, everything about OWB else is blocked.
I have OWB 1.6.1 (on Icaros 1.4.1) and instead of the "sleepy cloud" the mouse cursor changes to a generic "can't do that", but I think the symptoms are the same. Also if you try to move the request window around as I did you'll see a "tail effect" because the underlying OWB window is not refreshed, typical of an application stuck in background. I can't attach a file to the post, so have a look here: http://www.storiepvtride.it/download.jpg Probably this behaviour could be solved by forking to a separate thread the file downloader (like in Firefox). By the way, in Firefox, while the requester is waiting for your input the background thread is already downloading the file to a tmp location. Just my 2 cents, anyway.

I am using OWB 1.16 (2101.2012) on Ares One 2011.
When I open a download file requester (Where to place a download) If I with that requester window open also click on "shrink window to Icon" in OWB upper right corner (Left one of the three) I get an hang (Sleepy cloud). Zune or OWB related I guess.
