If memory serves me correctly -lsdl_ttf is dependant on -lfreetype2 as well.
Also are there other undefined symbols youve not listed? Often software using -lsdl_image also requires -lpng and/or -ljpeg (which itself requires -lz). |

The linking order is very important. In this case I would try the ttf and mixer libs at the very end of the command line, and hope for the best. Generally if I have the right lib, but still get errors, I usually shuffle the problem libs closer to the tail until it links.

libqbx.cpp version 0.90 for Linux compiles under AROS using the using the following:
g++ -c -w -Wall -IDevelopment:include/SDL libqbx.cpp -o libqbx_lnx.o When compiling qbx.cpp version 0.90 using the following: g++ -lDevelopment:include/SDL -lSDL_mixer -lSDL_ttf -lSDL_net -lSDL_image libqbx_lnx.o qbx.cpp -o AROS:MyWorkspace/qb64/qb64 generates the following errors: There are undefined symbols in 'AROS:MyWorkspace/qb64/qb64': TTF_OpenFonto Mix_PlayingMusic Mix_FreeChunkcv Mix_GetMusicType ....

<p>Only the GUI requires X11, and even then only the Linux and Mac version requires X11 however the Windows version does not, so if I can figure out how to get this program to compiler while ignoring the GUI related code like early version of this program, then it should compile.</p>

Does the code actually require X11, or have you just not specified a better (ie. more appropriate for aros) codepath to use? As for what you need to do, your error msgs are the biggest clues (ie. check libqbx.cpp). I suspect it's not going to be as simple as a straight recompile though. Also, Mui/Zune has no need to be used judging by what youve posted.

It sounds like you could do with trying out Zune before porting what you're looking to port. That way your understanding of Zune will be at a high enough level to see what to do. Making a simple Zune program should do the trick, a desktop calculator is a good candidate for a first project. Start your education here: http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Aros/Developer/Zune Feel free to ask questions about Zune on these forums if you get stuck.

fatman2021, not all source code is universal, if you want a chance of compiling this you need to modify the parts that depend on features found in other operating systems. There's a whole bunch of stuff at the top of the source code you posted that gives you clues about what to modify. Look here for example, tell me what this code does: //OS/compiler detection #ifdef WIN32 #include "stdafx2.h" #include <winbase.h> #include <float.h> #define QB64_WINDOWS #ifdef _MSC_VER #define QB64_MICROSOFT #else #define QB64_GCC #define QB64_MINGW #endif #else #define QB64_LINUX #define QB64_GCC #ifdef __APPLE__ #define QB64_MACOSX #endif #endif
