The integrated file managers functionality is rather basic atm. There are others with more features such as DOpus and Filemaster, both are dual window style. There has been a lot of discussion and many different ideas about a better file manager, like porting Scalos or Ambient to Aros, improving Wanderer itself etc., we'll see.

I am not sure if this the correct place to post this.

All I do for now with AROS is donate funds to it. I have not tried it (or Amiga OS or MorphOS either) because I have not gotten parts (power supply, RAM, and hard drive) to my PC Clone laptops.

so I am not sure what features that AROS's file manager features are.

(and this is a very crazy question...and sorry to ask this...but what is the name for the file manager...WorkBench?)

but whatever the name is, I don't know what features it is. I imagine it is very stable and efficient.

I like The Original Mac OS's Finder.
With Mac OS X, I have Finder turned off, and I use xFolders. It is lightweight, stable, and very efficient.....and also it has extra features on it.
With Windows XP, I do not use Windows Explorer. I use xPlorer2 Lite. It is lightweight, stable, and very efficient.....and also it has lots of extra features on it!!

so does AROS's file manager have a bunch of extra features...tools? and if not, can you add it to it in a distant future bounty project?

Some examples that I am thinking of is: multiple panes in one window, quick view (thumbnail, whatever) , mass rename, tree, and... I don't know... I am not even sure what all the things that xPlorer2 does. But I know that there are dozens of menus and hundreds of buttons on it. I will figure them out eventually lol.
