Nor tasklist nor devlist commands are here to stay. They serve development needs only. You can't rely on them.

i dont know how to kill

Well, I'm not the only here thinking that nobody should ever kill anyone.

Anyway,
The ONLY regular way to kill applications is through the use of CTRL-C/D/E/F signals.
You can achieve this by using:
Exchange: Send signal-quit to commodities. (zune applications are)
Status: List running Shell commands, meaning you can send them a...
Break: Send CTRL-C/D/E/F to a running DOS task.

This said, any Zune window should be closed by pressing [ESC]...

For other system info, refer to:
Assign: List registered assigns and devices.
Info: List mounted volumes.
Avail: List current memory info.
...
(Regular Amiga DOS commands)

More than SnoopDOS, better called The Master Of All Hacks (perhaps my preferred application on A-OS3.1 anyway), AROS needs a SYSLOG: device (or some error/debug channel), with alert levels from deep debug to simple loading error messages. Something like a Sashimi-device...

A port of Scout would be a good beginning as it has some basic taskman functionality and lots more like sys information (cpu, mem, uptime, last alert, resources, mounted devs and so on).

It would be great to get a list of loaded libs etc, and running applications so you can switch to, or kill off running processes.

All Zune (MUI) are comodities (most AROS apps are based on Zune), so you can run "Exchange" to get basic task manager functionality.

You can use WiMP, it's in your SYS:Tools directory.

I dont do linux.

I want to dev entirely on the native box, I dont have any compilers of any sort on my windows box.
What i want is the native Devtools setup so i write the code under EDIT in aros, then compile on the native machine, and run on the native machine.
Assuming I can get ftp to actualy work I can then upload the code/app to somewhere for you guys.

Obviously i need somebody to send me the development directory from a working native setup.
Please. Pwetty pleese.

The sources of SnoopDos are in the source archive already, if I remember well, try with those?

To code under AROS itself, you could put the sources and tools on a regular iso9660 CDROM then copy them on your HD. But you would have better time to develop under Linux.

I mentioned snoopdos earlier, but I dont have any dev tools to start on it myself.

I work entirely on a native install on my second PC so want to be able to compile localy on that.

Can anyone Zip up the compiled Dev tools so i can drop them into my hd install and start coding?
I could probably work tasklist/devlist into a gui and make it look a bit TaskManager ish with little trouble.
