DFerg - have a look at the scripts for AM installation for inspiration, for AROS an icon installation script would just be a pile of copy commands (much more involved on an Amiga as the .info files also store position, program data and other bits too).

Wonderful!!!

The more icons available, the better. Urges theme support for AROS, now!

Thanks... I have seen the .info files. But to be honest I really didn't take the time to figure out what they were. Do you know if any sample scripts?

ok, under DOpus (or the shell) you can see the icon files, they're the ones that end .info, under DOpus it should be easy(er) to work out which are which and do a directory at a time.

If you fancy writing a script it would just be to copy the files over using the shell commands (ie. copy cd1:thingy.info sys:thingy.info). I can't remember where the disk drive icons are though ...

Oh yeah, when I said the previous set I meant the ones before the Gorilla set

I too think the existing ones have their charms. However, I also don't really know how to change them to the new ones if I want.."use dopus".....is a very short set of instructions. That and my understanding is that each icon has to be changed one at time....how about a way to change icons that is a little eaiser for the average human?

the new Cat_i icons are very nice and someone took the time to do them up for Aros. I would like to be able to use them. Please...

Exactly, the more the merrier! When we get a themer, it will be trivial to switch bewteen icon sets, so simple matters of preference is really not a problem.

Even now it's just a matter of copying some files. Something that might help is a simple shell script which copies the icon set to the default positions.

Choice is good. The previous icon set had their charms, too.

What do you think the chances are that these will become the defaults?
