Hi all!
I'm proud to announce the availability of the source code and binaries for Emumiga. Get the stuff onhttp://emumiga.com/ Emumiga is an emulation project for running classic Motorola 68000 AmigaOS binaries in AROS. Unlike UAE or J-UAE it is not emulating the whole Amiga hardware but only the processor part. UAE/J-UAE needs the original AmigaOS ROM images (so far) but the special thing about Emumiga is that it does not require any ROM image. Emumiga works by trapping all syscalls and converting them into AROS syscalls. To do this Emumiga has to keep track of all system structures used with syscalls and convert data in the case that AROS is compiled for a little-endian system. I have developed Emumiga in an IA32 environment. It is not tested with big-endian or 64 bit architectures. Also note that this project is very far from complete. Right now it is in proof-of-concept stage. You can't run much at all just yet. If you are expecting to be able to run Monkey Island or DPaint 4 with Emumiga you will have to wait. Maybe it can be done some day but there is lots of work ahead. Feedback is appreciated. There is a forum on the home page:http://emumiga.com/forum/ Moggen
