For coherence, MSS-drawer will be placed in

extras:Networking/apps

and default shared directory will be pub:

the rest is exactly how you made it.

Yeah, it was really needed. It's a good thing to add to the 1.0.2 update. I would like you to keep the drawer structure and names of the MSS-drawer (and maybe add an MSS-branch in the menu). So the text in the manual is correct and my future updates of the package will work and so on. Just ask if there are any questions! If you want me to do any changes, just ask! If you want me to modify the default config (adding hosts, etc etc), just ask!

Hmmm... I'll have some funny time making up 1.0.2...

Thanks a lot, this was absolutely needed.

It is now possible to use DHCP with file sharing. This is because Yet Another FTP Server (YAFS) now can detect the systems IP address automaticly. This is also true for Snug HTTP server (which finally works on AROS). This will simplify file sharing and access to your AROS system. Downloadhttp://archives.aros-exec.org/?function=showfile&file=network/server/http/mss.aros-i386.zip and simply unzip it where you want it (I use work:Extras). Now turn off file sharing on vmwAROS using ConfigIP and enable DHCP (if you have a DHCP service running on your network, which is usually the case). The old YAFS and Snug HTTP server already installed with vmwAROS is from here on obsolete. The server's binaries are located in mss/Snug/bin/AROS-i386 and mss/YAFS/bin/AROS-i386. They now have some icons, simply double-click on them to run the respective servers. work: (or dh1:) will be accessible through FTP by login with username anonymous to the IP address shown in the output window. You can now read, write, delete, rename files and drawers and so on using FTP. The HTTP (or web server) can also be run by simply double-click on its icon. Use your web browser to access the IP address shown in the output window. You will now have read access to all files on work:. You can also access the AROS partition (dh0:) by using the URL /dh0/ after the IP address in the address field. The old configuration files (snug.ini and yafs.ini) are not directly compatible with the newer versions.
