You could always put Linux on it and run the hosted version of AROS.

LMAO Noo thanks. I'm not a programmer, and what's the point in sponsering for something that most people wouldn't use anyway. Even scanners these days are USB. Thanks. I'll get round to building a cheap IDE system and have a look at it then.

Sadly there is no support in AROS for any SCSI hardware at present.

When is that likely to change - who knows - though your welcome to attempt to write the necessary driver yourself =D

You could also try sponsering Mr Schulz (hes a very clever guy you know ) if you can get him interested, and you are that interestd in the first place..

AROS Max Install problems using SCSI

Hey all,
I run a scsi system and I am trying to boot up AROS to install it.
It's a scsi CD Rom drive of course and gets to the resoultion selection screen, but after that, it just tells me to insert a boot disk and that it will retry in 5 seconds. This just continues in a loop.
I take it that AROS max is looking for an IDE CD drive only. Any ideas on how to fix this??
I will be installing onto a scsi drive too for booting the OS. It's a standard adaptec controller 2940 series.
