Paolo: but what utility do you use in windoze to create the iso ?
Someone who has an access to AROS building scripts can look what command is used on sourceforge to build it (and what genisoimage version is used). I remember there was problems with some new genisoimage versions not so long ago. This can be also related to file permissions somehow ...

Sorry if I'm here again with the same stupid question of the last time, however fonts appearing like this:
![]() Well, this time I decided that I MUST understand why this is happening and, first of all, why it's happening UNDER LINUX ONLY, 'cos if I try to build the ISO with mkisofs for Windows the fonts appear correctly. I can't burn con.* files, however. Well, first of all, I did these passages: - reinstalled Mepis 7 from scratch - made these steps (from AROS.org compiling page) Quote: "Setting the locale to ISO8859" - gave this command: genisoimage -o vmwaros.iso -b boot/grub/iso9660_stage1_5 -c boot/boot.catalog -no-emul-boot -boot-load-size 4 -boot-info-table -allow-leading-dots -output-charset iso8859-1 -V "VmwAROS" -publisher "vmwaros.org" -D -r -J -sysid "AROS" vmwaroslive And got some missing directories. Please notice this screenshot: ![]() On the LEFT you see the directory Fonts as it is expected to be. On the RIGHT the one I got with -r in genisoimage parameters. So I decided to turn -r into -R (there has been a long discussion about this in this other thread): genisoimage -o vmwaros.iso -b boot/grub/iso9660_stage1_5 -c boot/boot.catalog -no-emul-boot -boot-load-size 4 -boot-info-table -allow-leading-dots -output-charset iso8859-1 -V "VmwAROS" -publisher "vmwaros.org" -D -R -J -sysid "AROS" vmwaroslive And i went a little further: ![]() As you can see, at least now directories appear to be OK, however I continue getting this fucking topaz font, dunno why. Please notice file names in Locales are right, with correct "foreign" characters. What's wrong, so? Please help me, I don't want to make this ISO again with Windows: I'm sick to create scripts only to place the AROS con.* files as they were expected to stay... Thanks, and many regards,
