I`ve experienced problems with screenmode change too. Using nvidia hidd, after screenmode changes system goes restart and no changes being saved. Video card is Geforce 2 GTS.
Must try it more and file a bug ...

I don't know. Never happened to me. Try the most common use, opening a shell in the desired directory (rArors+W) and using a command such as:
edit menu.lst

As far as I know, AROS can't use widescreen resolutions.
In order to run janoeditor please don't use OS4 desktop theme.

Hello,
My laptop have 1280x800 native display. Aros boot menu don't have this (not anymore) special display size. Is there a way to fix this from vmwaros image? FOUND: Aros:boot/grub/menu.lst But. JanoEdit crashes. Is there any other text editor inside the box? Czk EDIT: I have found a solution for janoedit : use murks IDE to compile a C program that will dump the correct string in menu.lst... Damn. Another solution is to use DOS redirection echo "bar" > menu.lst echo "foobar" >> menu.lst etc... OMG. Double pipe overwrite the content of the file instead of append... I have to trick with JOIN! FINAL : Used Murks to build dumb printf. Piped the result in the menu.lst. WMPlayer don't know about 1280x800x32 display with VESA driver. Shame.
