Discovered the arcane, the crash was caused by missing RDB, on WinUAE you have to set up "RDB Mode", initialize with HDToolBox and format HardFile (otherwise AROS install does not see HardFile).
I can not test if everything worked with previous versions blamed I enclose a video showing all the WinUAE settings: https://youtu.be/w4qzNsgelFw

wawa for the tests i always use use a clean nightly, also tried another computer.

i cant play that video but from screenshot its obvious, that you have modified your installation, at least what concerns the icon set.
try to use a clean nightly in order to verify, that it fails at what you are trying now. if it doesnt you need to determine what change on your end causes that.

Unfortunately i canceled the old Nightly Builds and I can not repeat the test, today i made the usual manual copy files(content ISO) as i have always done overwriting my old "working" system without having problems. With the old Nightly Build mentioned the system just started crashed.
However, it is clear that the problem of Crash remains if you do a new installation on Hardfile also with the "Nightly Build 20180730" (as shown in the attached video), verified only now :(

i dont see any commit that could have solved your problem within these ten days, whatever it might be. ae you sure it wasnt something on your part?

All solved with con AROS 68k ABI_WIP Nightly Build 20180730 my HardFile was recognized and i could update the system with the new one Nightly Build ;)

Tested all subsequent Nightly Builds and the problem has not been solved.

The ISO starts but has installation problems on Hardfile.
Try to do an installation on HardFile Also Nightly Build AROS-20180720 has the same problem See attached video Attach file: Link only for registered users

AROS 68k Nightly Build 20180719 on WinUAE crashes with pre-installed Hardfile but also when installing on new Hardfiles.
Also Nightly Build AROS-20180711 has the same problem! i have not tested any other previous versions
