I'd say the difference is likely due to different chipsets then, although there's still a chance recent changes had an effect.

Hi Neil:
No it was the new HP laptop. I can always try with the first one to see if it is the same problem.

That fix is basically only for keyboards, mice etc. Nikos, was the new test done on the same machine as the first test you reported at the start of this thread?

HAHA This was funny. I pluged in my phone. Samsung with usb-cable. Selected to share internet and it shoved up in AROS abi v.1 as bound to mdis.class
After that I did a quick search and all I did in network.prefs was to change Device to usbrndis.device Saved and from shell Startnet and online :D Crazy easy :D

It's just this:
Run sys:system/network/arostcp/c/AROSTCP wait 2 secs WaitForPort AROSTCP If NOT Warn ; stop and restart execute "sys:system/network/AROSTCP/s/stopnet" Else echo "Wait for Stack Failed" exit EndIf Run sys:system/network/arostcp/c/AROSTCP WaitForPort AROSTCP If Warn echo "Wait for Stack Failed" EndIf run c:wirelessmanager realtek8180.device

you mean the nightly? did it change within the week? perhaps its due to our new ppc developer who by the way fixed some usb stack issue: Changeset in AROS [55020] von balaton Avoid crash in USB hid class when device returns no maps (nhi_MapSize == 0)

Hi Nikolaos, For audio I needed a special verison of HDAudio from Neil due to some issue with the BIOS. However, that fix may now be a standard part of the driver, so it could just be the fact that the internal speakers don't work - you have to use headphones or external speakers off the headphone socket. The BIOS also doesn't recognised a new miniPCI WiFi card, so I just use a Netgear WG111v3 USB; for me it's very reliable when using my little script to start, stop and then restart the TCP stack. Cheers, Nigel.

With latest ABI v.1 everything installed fine from CD to USB storage device :)
With Compaq only sound through headphones. Ctrl + Amiga + Amiga freeze the system instead of reset. DOpus does not start. I double click icon but nothing happen.
