Today I played with Cinnamon Writer 0.95 beta 2 for MorphOS.
International characters ISO-8859-2 are supported :)

ISO-8859-2.

A lot of older software is using ISO 8859-1 (Standard Latin West-European)

A lot of programmes have concentrated their work on this character set without thinking of another ...

I would wish AROS could go to full utf8 support, but still it would need a lot of time until the application programmers would give fill support of it.

I've asked its author and he politely replied to me that he's waiting for other versions being 'stable enough', also feature-wise, to attempt another AROS port.

I'm afraid that we will miss a newer version of Cinnamon for much time ahead. Unless someone of us will concretely help him or give him a good motivation.

Btw, is there any reason why the latest version 0.95 beta is not available for AROS?

I've read that you must use an international font in CW. Have you tried another font? And are you sure the font in use has the characters you need?

When I try to write polish characters the result is always question mark "?" instead of expected font.
eg. instead of "Krak?w" I see "Krak?w".

I see properly polish characters in system, Zune, OWB other software.

Is there any way to use international characters with Cinnamon Writer? Polish encoding is ISO-8859-2.
