OK, 1.4 is indeed an older version than the current one (but not what I would have expected to find in Icaros 2.0.2). The problem is that it's proving hard to make i8042.hidd work everywhere without a major overhaul/rewrite. I tested the current V1.6 on 10 machines, but that appears not to have been sufficient

What version number and date is the i8042.hidd from Icaros 2.0.2? According to the release notes, it should be the same as in current nightlies.

That is very strange. There haven't been any change on ABIV0 branch that could cause this. :/ I'll add it to my TODO list to check this.

Issue with i8042.hidd in latest ABI0 nightly

I've just tried installing the latest available ABI0 nightly (20150423) on my Samsung netbook, and found that the touchpad was not working; no response to pad or buttons (keyboard was woking, though, and the pointer could be moved using it). Replacing it with the i8042.hidd from Icaros 2.02 fixed the issue.
