Thank you Paolone for the kind words.
I'll try to find time this evening but I can't promise. Activatewin is built with the build system and I only have ABI_v1 tree so far... So I'll have to get the ABI-v0 source tree, get the built successful, and then do the two or three changes needed from one ABI to another on my ActivateWin v11 source.

Dirk Stoecker allowed me to port ProcessIcon and upload my executable to Aminet, but my rights on it stop here really.
Now ActivateWin is mine, APL licensed of course, so nothing stops it from being added to AROS sources. But it has no historical legacy, so I'm not sure it could be seen favourably by other developers who would be entitled to see it as a hack (I mean that it doesn't fit in the traditional interfaces... though it only uses public functions of the system).

Long ago, I used ActivateWin as well in AmiBridge scripts to hide the workbench window, before I found the far better solution to not run it at all

I guess if I still used it, I would have catched the issue before Icaros release. Would you be anyway so kind to look into this when you can? I would really be glad to fix this issue in the very first update of Icaros (2.0.1), whose first beta has already been sent to our betatesters. ActivateWin, as well as ProcessIcon, are my favourite "external commands" and I really wished they both became standard in AROS.

Thanks,

I like it very much. I use it in scripts to resize windows so that they aren't over the amistart "hot-spot". I use wsz on 68k. Its crashed every time on 2.0. Just using within a shell "activatewin current mx=0 my=0 sx=1000 sy=300 alt" crashes it.

I will have a look, but I am overly busy this week so don't expect news until at least next week...

I've used ActivateWin a lot on ABI_v1 and it evolved a bit there. I didn't encounter crashes though with this evolved version so I am fairly confident in the success of the porting back towards the current ABI_v0.

Hi,

I used this command a lot and flawlessly under icAROS1.5.1 but now it crashes under 2.0. It says:
