As Power2People has nearly raised 3000+ USD for the AROS Development Fund, this seems like a good time to revive this discussion thread and ask how the money should be spent.

Just as a reminder, the AROS Development Fund aims to collect sums for large development tasks that may be difficult to achieve using traditional bounty projects.

What development tasks are there today that would be difficult to achieve as bounty projects?

Alternatively, are there specific bounty projects that are of great importance and might benefit greatly from receiving additional funding via the AROS Development Fund?

Once again, thank you for your input.

Sounds like a good plan especially as I have $200 dollars sitting there doing nothing.

My personal suggestion is to use the general fund towards an annual Papercuts project. We could use say $5 or $10 as a reward for each papercut fixed.

I would give 300$ to the IP V6 Bounty.. 500 $ to the HD Audio.. Bounty and 750$ to the SMP Bounty and the 33 ? to Bszili despotify's Bounty!

300$

750$

1500$

+ 33 ? for Bszili

still 800 $ remaining!

Personally based on complexity of the projects I would put more towards the TCP stack bounty than updating the query code in the HDA driver. Then again I'm also biased. :)

Could someone please organize the Bounties / set up the text for Power2People

- IP enhancement / IP V6
- HD Audio
- SMP Audio

only the despotify bounty does currently exist

And before someone asks, my English is not good enough for a precise description needed for a bounty.
