Hi!

Atari ST would be a great HW platform for a native AROS; however, I would stay away from the Falcon and TT. Neither were sold in large quantities and are too different from the ST(e) series.

I briefly had a TT and although a nice and snappy machine, I got rid of it again because it wouldn't run the single most important application for me at the time (C-Lab Notator).

In today's world we're talking a niche within a niche within a niche...

I would also stay away from the first generation ST series because of the non-standard hard drives (not SCSI, not IDE) and I doubt anyone would want to run AROS from floppy drives.

IMO the best HW platform in the ST series to target would be the STe and Mega STe. They have enough RAM and hard drives use common standards.

All of the Atari ST(e)'s architecture and chips are very well documented.

Hello.

I am wondering how much interest there is in a native AROS for Atari?

If you want specific models, perhaps TT030 or Atari Falcon 030?

Also I am still learning how to propose bounties. So far I have:

Stage 1: Create AROS Native Boot Loader on Atari.

Stage 2: Port AROS.

Stage 3: All drivers must function.
