Thats your perogative but from where I stand it just shows a lack of appreciation for the amount of work I have put into it - especially considering how little remains to have it fully functional. FYI I have -: # Modify the configure system so that it correctly builds for the arm hardware float raspi target. # Implemented the bootstrap to load the aros modules and prepare the arm to jump into them. Reworked the x86 console support so that parts can be stolen for raspi to use since t has no basic functionality to output to the display. # Implemented a kernel.resource to prepare the raspi for running aros and provide the low level api calls to expose available resources and allow exec, etc function. # Implemented serial debug support # Implemented the exec (and kernel) functionality required to make multitasking work (and interrupts, exceptions, syscalls, etc) # Implemented a timer.device to utilise the hardware timers. # Implemented a very basic gfx driver to expose the hardwares framebuffer. # Implemented an SD-Card driver for AROS which presently only supports the raspi's chipset but can easily be modified to support all sd-card hardware and media. # Fixed the fat filesystem support in AROS so that it can boot on RasPi's normal SD-Card setup. The "rom" image files needed use a different filename than the default linux, etc images so can be easily installed without harming the existing files - you only need to change the loaded images in the config file to get aros to boot. # Updated the build scripts to automatocally download the necessary raspi firmware files and wrap it all up so that you can simply extract the archive to a fat formatted sdcard and boot it on the raspi without having to get anything else. # fix everything in contrib and ports to build for raspi (needs propper testing/fixes but allows every component to actually compile atleast, including owb) + numerous other fixes to get things working on arm/raspi .. but i digress ... But ... I guess thats not worth anything ;)

For me I would also throw monney on it, because it's a nice platform.
But without a bounty it's not so easy ![]() But anyway, I think there is a lot of frustration / lack of time around in the moment so...

Due to the lack of interest (e.g only 3 or 4 people bothered donating), I have no interest in continuing with the port, and tbh given the pointless changes being made to AROS, and the lack of respect for where it was already being developed, have no interest in contributing to it either any more. The remaining items to get AROS working on RasPi (and usable) would be -: # Implement/Complete the USB chipset driver. *-- the current code is mostly a skeleton that should initialise the chipset (might still need a little work), and then needs relevant code to support the different transfer types. It also has the "virtual" hub code in place to represent the raspi's USB port (from poseidons p.o.v) # Implement a driver for the USB NIC # Write an audio driver. p.s. - there is also a bug in the current raspi kernel code which needs fixed (to do with issuing syscall's) - and possibly others to fix. After that you will need to -: # Improve the gfx driver, which is as basic as it can be currently. # Improve the sdcard device driver - which is also pretty basic but should work with most cards. pavel was going to rework it to also support pci, etc. sd card interfaces on x86 but I dont know if he ever got round to it. Both of the above would benefit from utilising the broadlooms dma engine (which needs its own driver written). You would probably also be best to implement resources for using the raspi's gpio in a shared fashion, aswell as the i2c interface etc.

What (apart from ignorance) makes you think this hasn't already been attempted? The people in the "Pi" community aren't interested in possibly having a niche OS run "some day" - they want it to be already running. Quote:
AROS/AmigaOS isn't everyone's cup of tea - just because there are a lot of Pi's out there is irrelevant - there's even more x86 based hardware that AROS does already fully support, but that doesn't mean folk are suddenly interested in AROS. It may be a better fit on Pi than some existing platforms (linux etc) - but without a working product that is speculation at best.

Same here. I'd be interested in a native Efika MX port of AROS, since there are no decent ARMHF distros for the Efika anyway. It makes testing DOpus5 a real nightmare, which makes me rely on others for this.
