Thanks, and no need to hurry.
Quite honestly i can use a little break from this as well, as it is not real fun to play same things over and over again ![]() As said, i will try check those things i was unable to test yet (and update post accordingly). have fun !

Hi Serk118uk,
This latest version that you released seems much more like the previously (revision) release you did a couple of months ago. I am now able to play missions and continue skirmishes. However, it also shows some similarities with the instability. Unfortunately some things happening seem to be happening at random intervals. I tried to avoid rapporting these as much as possible (in the hope they somehow directly or indirectly originate from items i do mention). So on the positive side i am now able to play longer, as a result of this and things being fixed by you this unfortunately also means new bugs surfaced... Following is a list of items (including previous reported items to show status) encountered with latest openRA (i called it r5) of which those items influence the gameplay and/or gameexperience. Item 1: Tesla coil alarm sound Affected distro/mode: 1.4.5 - affects both single mission and skirmish mode 1.5.2 - affects both single mission and skirmish mode experimental - not tested. steps to (100%) reproduce: 1 - start openRA 2 - start a "new game" or "skirmish" 3 - play the game and walk into a tesla coil from opponent (a1) 4 - recoverable alert requester shows 5 - press continue button on requester to continue game. (a1) Additional information. First time the tesla alarm sounds, all is ok. Second time and thereafter the requester shows. Temporary workaround: Do not walk towards enemies tesla coil and trigger its alarm. Besides avoiding the annoying requester it will also prevent your unit from being destroyed ![]() Additional data: see pictures posted earlier by me. If needed i can produce pictures and/or logs for both 1.4.5 and 1.5.2. Please also note that 1.4.5 and 1.5.2 produces slightly different stacktrace, but the bug is the same. Item 2: Nodding donkey freeze - Trigger_event_low_power Affected distro/mode (only able to test mission mode): 1.4.5 - This bug seems solved. 1.5.2 - This bug was not present in 1.5.2 . experimental - not tested steps to reproduce: Not necessary, the bug is solved Item 3: Destroy last building freeze - Trigger_event_low_power Affected distro/mode (only tested in skirmish mode): 1.4.5 - This bug seems solved. 1.5.2 - This bug seems solved. experimental - not tested steps to reproduce: Not necessary, the bug is solved Item 4: Mission 1 loosers are screwed Affected distro/mode (only tested mission mode): 1.4.5 - Affects mission mode. 1.5.2 - Affects mission mode. experimental - not tested steps to (randomly)* reproduce: 1 - start openRA 2 - start a "new game" as allie 3 - loose the game 4 - Game exits without warning. Temporary workaround: None Additional data: Logfiles available on request. * - this seems to happen totally random. More luck if steps 2 and 3 taken a couple of times. Also rushing into getting yourself killed asap does not seem to trigger this. I suspect (speculate) that it depends on a certain building or unit being destroyed, but i seem to be unable to determine the exact condition(s). Item 5: Mission 2 loosers are screwed another way - Memory freed twice Affected distro/mode (only able to test mission mode): 1.4.5 - Affects mission mode. 1.5.2 - Affects mission mode. experimental - not tested steps to (? 100% ?) reproduce: 1 - start openRA 2 - start a "new game" as allie 3 - Win the first mission 4 - Game returns to main menu and automatically starts second mission 5 - loose second mission 6 - game returns to main menu 7 - press exit 8 - error requester pops up (memory freed twice), press continue. 9 - error requester pops up (memory header not located), press continue (if recall correctly, now differs between icaros 1.4.5 (will exit) and 1.5.2 (show another requester) 10 - error requester pops up (Program failed, SDL subtask), game freezes. Temporary workaround: None Additional data: Logfile (1.4.5 only)/screenshot (showing last lines in log+requester) available on request. Perhaps also see item 6. Last line in log reads: DEBUG: Loading pallette: SNOW Item 6: Skirmished map 1 winners are just as screwed - Affected distro/mode (only tested skirmish mode): 1.4.5 - Affects skirmish mode. 1.5.2 - Affects skirmish mode. experimental - not tested steps to (99,99%) reproduce: 1 - start openRA 2 - start "skirmish", also selected name, france and first map from list 3 - win the game 4 - game returns to main menu 5 - press exit 6 - requester shows "Memory header not located" (function Exec_FreePooled). As example: showed same requester twice on 1.4.5 and 5 times on 1.5.2 (same stacktrace) when pressing continue. 7 - anoter requester shows "Memory freed twice" (function stdDealloc). As example showed same requester 8/9 times on 1.4.5 and 6/7 times on 1.5.2 (same stacktrace), amount of showrequester seems to vary. Keep pressing continue to continue to next requester ![]() now differs between 1.4.5 and 1.5.2 (for similar differences, see item 5) 1.4.5 does: 8 - after last requester showed and pressed continue, game exits. 1.5.2 does: 8 - requester memory header not located is showed again (twice, same stacktrace), press continue. 9 - last requester shows "Program failed" (SDL_subtask, function SDL_Delay). Only able to Suspend/Reboot, so game freezes/halts Temporary workaround: None Additional data: Logs/screenshots (showing last lines in log+different requesters) available on request. Perhaps also see item 5. Item 7: Mission mode, random havoc - Affected distro/mode (only tested in mission mode): 1.4.5 - Did not encounter this, but might have been lucky. 1.5.2 - Affects mission mode (randomly). experimental - not tested steps to (randomly) reproduce: 1 - start openRA 2 - start a "new game" as allie 3 - Win the first mission 4 - Game returns to main menu and tries to automatically start second mission 5 - error requester pops up. i forgot to write down if game freezed or exited, sorry. Temporary workaround: None Additional data: screenshot (showing last lines in log+requester) available on request. I'm sorry that i have not checked all of the mentioned items for all distros yet. (Experimental icaros i avoided on purpose) Some errors are random and as such do not always appear. Also i tried to detect a pattern in some of the new mentioned items, but as you can see i was reasonably unsuccesfull .Hopefully the items i mentioned are of use to you. If you require more information or logfiles/screenshots then feel free to ask what you need. I will try to update the above listed items, which i was unable to test yet, at a later date. Thank you, PS: It would have been nice if you would given me the hint that when the game is suspended i can press ctrl-c in the con window so that the log is actually saved to disk (instead of me pressing close-button and nothing is saved) ;-p edits: 1 - updated item 4 2 - updated item 6 + some additional text in ps.

Hi serk118uk,
You're more then welcome ![]() Thank you for the confirmation, as it keeps me from getting insane ![]() Unfortunately i did not had enough time (earlier) to be able to report the way i did now, as it requires quite a bit of time to be able to determine exactly what (bug) is triggered when. In that regards i do apologise for giving you a goose-chase with my earlier reports (sometimes they're enough, other times they arent's :S ). Thank you for looking into it, as i really fancy the game and would like to explore more of it (on aros). I do not know the background of this version (OpenRA) of the game, but do you happen to know if networkplay is planned (or even would be possible) for Aros ?
