I started to port my virtual machine Nano:
http://www.jay-t.de/nano/index.html

Also take a look at the nano wiki int the links menu.
There are some example programs there.

It's a VM with lots of features:
file i/o
tcp/ip sockets
Full 64 bit core (256 64 bit integer registers & 256 double
floating point registers.

Own memory management for machines without MMU (m68k Amigas).

Threading: there can be functions started as a new thread.

The "bytecode" for the VM can be compiled with the N compiler, which I wrote for the VM. Or written in assembly.
The compiler understands inline assembly, so both can be mixed.

I developed the N language used in the N compiler, so it's new with unique features.

At the moment I'm debugging the VM. Something with the AROS threading doesn't work. I made some mistake using it.
I hope I can find the bug and make the VM work...

Just a quick update on the Glade XML reader that I am working on for Lua+Zulu under AROS. In this example the GladeBuilder Lua class is reading in the Glade XML file and is being used with a simple application that implements a callback for the button:

When an AROS release will be ready, I'll propose a news to present officially the project and tell more about it...

Thank you for your comments.

Hello all,
I enter this subject now presenting you my project :

I'm working on a project called "AmiDARK Engine".
It's a Game Development Kit.
A library of functions (more than 700 commands/functions are actually available) to help video game creators to create video games on our Amiga Computers :)

Actually, I have nearly finished the 1st part of the project.
It contain all the system functions (Core, file i/o, input i/o, memblock, music, setup, sound, system & texts functions) plus de 2D functions (Basic 2D draging, Bitmap, Image, Sprites). With all these the engine have now 477 functions (exclude alpha 3D engine commands)

Now that the AmiDARK 2D Engine is nearly finished, I will start soonly to improve and complete the 3D Engine. This 3D Engine will cover : Basic 3D (3D models, display, animations, collisions, effects), Camera3D, Lights 3D, 3D Matrix & Terrains, Special Effects "particles" and Vector3/4 functions. Actually 229 commands are available and some small demonstrations samples show the potential of the future 3D engine. ( 229 commands + 477 = 706 actually developed commands/functions ).
More than 450 new commands for the 3D engine will be developed on 2012 ending and 2013 year ...

Actually the project run on Amiga OS 4 only computers.
The previous release worked on MorphOS. I'm working on fixing this issue.
I'm also working on porting it to AmigaOS3 ( PPC+Warp3D or WinUAE+Wazp3D ) and AROS ( 68k, PPC, i386 & x64 )

It should not be too difficult to port it to these platforms if I find all the libraries I use in the project. (actually : ptreplay.library, FTGL, Freetype, OpenGL. List may change)

If you want to know more concerning this project, jump here :
http://www.amidark-engine.com
A development diary is updated regularly with all changes made to the engine.
If you want to "help" the project, there is a link for donations using paypal.

If you want to know more about what the AmiDARK Engine is,
Jump at TheGameCreators website and check their product DarkGDK for PC Computers.
(cf.http://www.thegamecreators.com/?m=view_product&id=2128 )
AmiDARK Engine is really similar to DarkGDK ;)

I hope I have clearly detailled my project that is now well advanced (the 2D engine is nearly finished).

Kindest Regards,
Fr?d?ric 'AmiDARK'
