It looks like the Win2000 compatibility mode solved the problem in my case. I can't tell for sure, but in the past it always locked up in one minute, so it's definitely an improvement.

Lockup is old well-known problem. On some machines it triggers, on some it doesn't. Extremely hard-to-find thing.

I have installed it on my Win7 system. You must use the compatibility preferences of Windows, I think I used Win95 or Win 2000 (not sure but I can look). Problem is there is no sound nor LAN support.

I have had problems running AROS mingw32-i386-system on Windows 7 64-bit. It starts, but locks up after a short while.
(It seems to work fine on XP 32-bit.) I'd prefer to run 32-bit AROS hosted if possible on Win7 x64; is this possible, or not supported at this stage? (VirtualBox and VMWare = slow as hell on my PC - my vendor locked out hardware-assisted virtualization in the BIOS.)
