mt12345: Youtube is for sure important, but it is far from only about youtube. It is more about a proof that the player works as it should.

I hope so!

I don't use flash at all. I run PPC linux and x86 linux. Since there is no flash for PPC I run all my machines flash-free to keep it on the same level.

I just didn't find any html5-friendly sites, apart from youtube and vimeo (or was it metacafe?)
Maybe I'm just not internet videos - orientated, I prefer pure text (sometimes I turn off loading images)
but I got the feeling this bounty is all about youtube.

mt12345: A lot!! Most sites with video works with html 5 video player. I don't know if you have noticed, but html 5 is the future. Flash have released their last versions for both Linux and Android. I would say 2-3 more years and Flash is dead.

This might be good idea, but lets keep it simple at first.

Should I submit the bounty requirements to Power to People ?

First you would have to define what such class would have to do. Do you mean a complete browser Zune class so one can just add to its project and have full browser inside (with all navigation and such)?

Yes, something like that.

Make HTML5 player plugin for Odyssey web browser.
Embedded HTML5 videos on Youtube must work.

Should we submit this to PowerToPeople ?
