Then sure html5 will works a bit slower in odyssey on aros/os4, because currently there no hw-acceleration/overlay is used for. As aros do not have overlay, it will be always slower on the same HW in compare with browsers which works on oses where is overlay works.

Maybe some kind of GL backend can helps on aros, but i do not know deeply details, pretty possible only overlay can helps normally.

Sorry I take it back what I said.. Odyssey isn't THAT slow.. I tested the Site on Comodo Dragon... In Comodo Dragon the Anims go way smoother.. I think Comodo Dragon is the fastest Browser atm!

Sorry.. Odyssey is quite fast for an Amiganoid Browser!

Anyway.. Chromeexperiments Website is perfect to help Improve Odysseys htnl5 Capabilities!

Odyssey is slow ? With what you compare ? On which HW you test it, and did your network speed is good ? I mean, Odyssey is really fast browser. Saying that is slow, its the same as Chrome slow. I right now testing your links on my x86/winxp/chrome , and i should in the same way "wait a little" , but that not mean that crhome slow (same as odyssey)

As I already mentioned.....

http://www.chromeexperiments.com/

This is the perfect site to test Odysseys html5 Capabilitys and runtime speed!

Please bring WebGL to AROS!

These Demos already run with Odyssey:

http://www.chromeexperiments.com/detail/fireworks/?f=

you have to wait a while, Odyssey is slow!

First of all: Odyssey runtime Speed improovments! Code Optimization is No. 1!

Very right idea. Making it can benefits and aros, and os4 versions, so more users will contribute => bounty 100% will have money.

As aros use CGX as native system, and aos4 have cgx emulation layer, i think going via cgx will be right way to please both systems. And as not aros, not os4 currently not have overlay in CGX, it can be just the same in terms of code. Only that on x86 it will faster a lot :)

Yes it should be designed so it can be used on both the AROS and AOS4 version... However since we can be pretty sure it will be deadwood working on the AROS version he is unable to compile for AOS4. So it will be available as source code..

I would like to start discussing a bounty for html5 video for odyssey.

The AROS version of Odyssey should be extended to include all html5 video features of Fab's MorphOS version.
