The cheap PCI cards (Soundblaster 64V+ and the like) used to work as an SB16 in DOS games ...

If I remember well, the Sound Blaster 16 card was an ISA one, so, in order for it to be supported, ISA bus should be supported first. If it exists a Sound Blaster 16 - PCI then perhaps a driver could be written.

And is there any possibility, that a SoundBlaster 16 driver will be created in the near future? I guess, the answer is no, because all the devs are working on something else. So, poor Windows user has to stay without sound...

A noob question: is it possible to configure AHI to make some sound on Qemu? Or other emulators?

Gotta be sure you're trying apps that have sound support ... I really should get myself a Live card sometime, that way I could be helpful

I get sound when I click the test-button in AHI prefs. but when I try other aps it is no sound?
