Today I had the chance to test Icaros 1.2 on this former high end laptop (original price: ~ ? 3000,-). Here are the results:
VGA: ATI Mobility Radeon 9600 (works fine & speedy at 1600x1200 in VESA mode, ATI native produces a garbled screen) Audio: works (AC97) NIC: Broadcom NetXtreme Gigabit (unsupported) DMA: works USB: works other specs: CPU: Centrino 1.6 GHz HDD: 40 GB RAM: up to 2 GB remarks: Due to missing ACPI support in Aros, the fan runs permanently. conclusion: interesting device for Aros, but having no supported NIC is a bit of a showstopper.
