Nobody has submitted the bounty proposal to Power2People and / or made a required initial donation.

Its sort of like drag n drop except dont hold the mouse down!

So if you click on an lha file then click immediately in the other lister it will extract (or whatever action is configured) it there!

I'm generally happy with the requirements as specified by mihcaels. For point 7 though, only picture formats supported by the codebase I'm porting will be definitely supported by the AROS version. And I don't know what Click-M-Click is (point 8).

@nikos

Like I said earlier somewhere - the unzip / lha / lzip commands must be in C: (sorry but that's common practice for me anyway to have the archiver commands in C: - always has been since my 1989-A500 days to my 2000-A4000 ones).

It uses picshow in Dopus Screen to show pics, but this one can be on the extras/multimedia (or whatever) dir.

P.S: How about an avatar? I guess it's about time the most famous user in AROS gets some kinda of pic in the forums!

@ncafferkey (and @mihcaels )

4. Yes - diskinfo is the most notable item (and maybe another commands that may work show with that identification)

7. Like I said I resorted to use PicShow that allows to show the images on DOPUS Screen. If the ineternal command "show" is fixed to show all datatypes, it would be better...

8. Click-M-Click operations were working, unfortunately these were badly configured, and there were no modern common Filetypes to work with, so it didn't do nothing...
Also current Smartread internal command launches all files as executables, even if they are simple text files - my guess it might have to do with BE issues or some default setting.

There's also some problems that DOPUS because it has not DOpusRT command has to resort to Asynchronous mode, and this is problematic because Finishsection command does not wait for amigados commands to end in this mode, and you cannot configure decent Dopus behaviour. The way it was set it kept freezing.
It will still have if commands launched crash or fail to end - but that's another story.

Also I'm unable to set new filetypes - I know I can edit a file DirectoryOpus.FIL (or similar), but I do not know what and how it should have the contents...

What about that bounty.

Will someone start it ?

Summarise all the points made, make sure there are no final additions! edit-OK, i done it!

---------------------------------------------------------
Complete new port of DOpus, based on the AmigaOS 4.17 beta.

Must Have:
1. Fix the Filename lenght handling listing and operations.
2. Implement the missing NewCLI command.
3. Port and adapt/exetend External modules "DopusRT" "Iconinfo" "Format" (Format should include both support for FFS and SFS - use external commands is acceptable) *
4. Allow DOpus to recognize/identify SFS/FAT devices (currently it shows unknown filesystem).
5. Remove the OFS/FFS bug when renaming files or folders with the same name removes/deletes the selected entry.
6. Add a command for accessing the SFS device .recycled/ dir (should be pretty easy since it's a matter of cd'ing onto that dir)...

Possible Fixes?
-Fix right side Window border position to allow easier use of the Parent functionality. (The DOpus screen seems to be slightly bigger than the WB screen. It could be a bug in Intuition.)

Provide Regular status updates.

*IconInfo tool is supposed to show the icon image itself, there could potentially be problems with AROS's PNG icons.
---------------------------------------------------------

Needs clarification
4. Do you mean in the "Disk Info" menu item?

These were fixed by Hardwired
7. Allow image viewing.
8. Click-m-click file operations

Status updates not essential for this bounty, but if we can set a precedant for future bounties.. unless others disagree?

@michaels:

I see what you mean now. I'm not a DOpus expert and didn't know that clicking on the border had that function. Yes, the DOpus screen seems to be slightly bigger than the WB screen. It could be a bug in Intuition.

Is the space just because of the window border? I don't want to remove that.

Im not sure, but its not what i expect

Clicking on the window border is what activates the lister to goto its parent directory.

It seems that the dopus scrren is a few pixels wider then the dopus window.
