Every motherboard has potential if the drivers are written.

Speaking of interesting hardware for AROS I just happened to see a friend who works at a university. They are working with a hardware manufacturer on server motherboards for the new intel octagon processors.

He was very excited about this board they have which is 64 bit and uses 8 different octagon core processors. If you think about it,if this board is all loaded up thats 64 processor cores in total. I can imagine video editing and 3d rendering would be awesome on something like that.

He said in tests they could run rings around anything other than a beowolf cluster or supercomputer that he's seen or used before.

This is the way the future of computing is going. It will be one extreme or the other, either you have a super powerful computer or a thin client and use someone else's
power (cloud computing)

Personally, I'll take the first option!

New hardware for Aros is nice, but if its just a standard off the shelf pc without dedicated aros drivers who cares, its not very exciting.

I think a great aros machine would be something with a catweasel pci, especially when uae integration is finally complete and working perfectly. I'd love to browse through all my old amiga floppies. I think I'm buying a catweasel pci for my emulated amiga os3.9 machine.

hmmm, but the hardware has potential if drivers are written. I have and still work on getting drivers for iMica, but being native is important to me.

It's PC hardware with a "booting straight into UAE"-configured-Linux, that can also boot up AROS or Windows if needed, probably via Grub.

So, nothing really special, imho.

Nvidia ION you say, interesting, especially with the newly assigned Gallium3D bounty.

Forget the case, it looks like it is running an NVidia ION chip set. I had planned one but no sound available. Be interesting to see what it runs like. The more the merrier.

I can't read German, but is this another iMica-alike system built for AROS support (and Amiga emulation)?

Case looks nice if nothing else.
