I am only one who for first just can't found any forum on link which provided in first topic at all, and for second have today "expired kind" page ?
btw, for sure design of this imica site must be changed. A bit unlogical and a bit primitive (not want to be a troll, just how i see that).

@All
Have modified the title and the forum topic outline. As I have mentioned before this is about promoting the use of Aros running native and to share knowledge gained by all.

Something like this
http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Aros/Platforms/AROS_USB_support but looks better... Jeff.

I agree, a hardware section is a good thing. Perhaps the title of section should be "Imica and aros related hardware" or something like that?
Maybe we could start a topic too to present hardware compatibility (after poseidon will be finished, to include usb compatibility) ?

@all
I am more than happy for this to be a generalised discussion about hardware and drivers. I have my personal aims for a general machine for Aros/Amiga but the beauty about this community is that most people are hardware savvy. However, later if we expand the user base then a standard machine will be needed and I would like to supply it with all lessons learned through mine and others experimentation. As for it being a seperate forum, I just thought it made sense to have an area specifically for hardware discussions and iMica is IMHO a good platform to start discussions. I will be creating a video showing performance of Windows 7 1080P performance on standard iMica Atom over the next few days which prove the hardware is great but Aros needs native drivers and dual core to use all available horsepower. Steve is already look at a skt775 board iMica and don't forget that hardware technology via Intel is changing every 2 years. So there's plenty of future iMicas to come.
Obviously they will be different. Jeff.

Lets not shoot things down so hastily, I personally feel that there is a demand for a fully supported hardware where Aros can run natively. At the moment iMica is not, but with the help of us all it can get there.
This forum can be used to address iMica specific hardware request in better way than posting "I need a driver for this and this", than on some thread. Now everybody knows what hardware is in question. I feel that with such a small number of developers it would be better to do things more collaboratively, but who am I to say what things devs do. If you yell loud enough long enough time someone's bound to answer...

@ Henry and the rest:
I'd love to see this as a place for talking about approaches to AROS hardware in general, not just the Imica. I am not sure though, if a dedicated thread to this wouldn't have sufficed.. ![]()
