well,
ok...if, and just if my ip has open/exploited port...what freenode has with it? imo frenode doesnt need to care if i have open port...it could warning me, but not ban. what harm it could do for it? |

Open proxies are evil and usually means infected or r00ted. I highly suggest that you have your brother do a full virus scan done on the gateway server (and if your runnin M$, your box as well). I also highly suggest that you buy/build a Linux (or BSD) firewall/router to hide M$ boxes behind. It's not a friendly M$ enviroment out there with all the security issues M$ has.
Dammy irc.access.net Edit: Teepad port (559) open is evil. Spam port and backdoor via Domwis Trojan. Unless your gateway is port forwarding, your brother's system needs to be taken down and either cleansed or a fresh install is needed after reformatting the disk.
