Hi,

I found the beginning of a solution for mplayer full screen :

I tried to launch mplayer from shell, using the option -vf scale=1280 (wich is my native resolution).

It's working, now the video is player in a correct size. BUT it's horribly slow (VESA mode).

So I don't know if it 's because I'm lauching mplayer from shell, or if it's because of the option -vf scale.

Is there any method to make this option permanent, so I can try it from GUI ?

thanks

(sorry I can't edit my last post)

I tried your method (middle click) : it works ! I can watch videos in correct conditions.

it remains one problem, the movies doesn't stretch correctly :

I was told to press the middle mouse button on the active video window and the player panel disappears. Works for me.

I guess deadwood could answer you that. I imagine deadwood is a very busy man working on a lot of AROS things, but I hope he or somebody else could find time to improve it. If we only had a endless pool of volunteering coders.

Hi,

I dig this topic again, just to know (I didn't find any information on this) if a new version of mplayer supporting full size full screen (with player control window hiding feature) is scheduled ?

thank you a lot

OK, I've got my answer. Usually, when you toglle the full screen mode, Mplayer (or other videoplayers) hide itself. I think it's better, personaly ;)

thank you,

dimitri

Hi,

I'm playing with mplayer, trying to make it work correctly (I've already seen the importance of cache size, etc...).

One thing I can't fix myself, is the focus on windows when I toggle to fullscreen : the mplayer window stays in front of the movie, and I can't make it invisible.

How can I do that ?

thank you !
