Cool. I was wondering why sometimes what I posted worked and sometimes didn't.

If you have your system set to dual boot linux and AROS, you should be able to mount the AROS partition in Linux. It's affs type filesystem for those not familiar with linux. You would have an entry in /etc/fstab like this:

And this will only work if you have either whole harddrive formatted as RDB, or if you have MBR affs partition which is mounted on AROS via Mountlist.

OTOH if you have AROS RDB partition which contains FFS partition within, then you cannot mount it like this, because linux will not see the partition at all. Moreover you cannot use loop device to fix offset of partition, because the size of partition in RDB may be smaller then size of AROS-RDB partition minux offset.

I will put a post soon how to create such exchange partition which is visible for both linux and AROS (Mountlist entry ;))

/dev/hda3  /mnt/aros  affs  rw,user,noauto  0 0

You need to have a directory in /mnt called "aros", and you can check to see what the device name is (it's probably not hda3) using the Hardware Browser.

Mount it via:
mount /mnt/aros

You need to be in superuser mode to mount devices. Be sure the partition is plain FFS. No international or directory cache allowed.

or if you would own a floppy drive, isn't it possible to write out the file on a floppy disk and read that disk with winuae for example? does it supported in uae? I don't know.

Or what about directly transferring to a WinPC with a serial cable? Is it possible with AROS?

For me, neither one of those is an option. I don't have a floppy drive anymore nor do I currently own an Amiga. But it really isn't a big deal. Hopefully sometime soon, we will have both FAT and TCP/IP. Hopefully, then I can share files between my Aros box and my Win box. I have a FAT partition to make moving files betwee OSes eaiser. But at least we can take the screen shots in native now. That is really cool.

No really, how?

If i know well AROS can write Amiga format floppies. So my idea is copying the screengrabs to a floppy and posting directly from an Amiga or transfering it to a PC via serial or TCP/IP link.

This is cool!!

I am just not sure how I would go about getting the "screen grabs" off the PC in order to post them.
No really, how?

No Fat support, so a floppy is out of the question.

No TCP/IP so you can't post them directly on the web.

I have the feeling the answer is rather simple, but it isn't coming to me.
