How far are you getting with the installer? It needs persuation to get it working

Step 1 - Make a partition using a Linux boot CD
Step 2 - Create RDB partition under AROS HD-Toolbox & reboot
Step 3 - Use installer or CLI to format partition & reboot
Step 4 - Use installer to /install/
Step 5 - Copy over all the other stuff you like

Job's a good 'un, as we say in this part of the world!

I seem to have problems with the installer. I was hoping that might be resolved in the new one. I will play with it and see what happens.

It is great just to have a dedicated box. I didn't spend much money. It is as Hardware compatiable as possiable. Nice generic devices, easy to support (I hope). That and I don't worry about messing up my Windows partition. I would like to put the AROS logo on it but I can't seem to find a graphic of it. I call it "The CatBox" I have a strange sence of humor.

Thanks for the info.

In case you've not already, it's worth getting everything installed - just updating it later on is an easy task.

CoolCat's said the next update should mostly be sound-enabled updates (crosses fingers for a copy of Quake that can use the registered pak file!)

Same version, that was when I added the Par2 files (hence the version number being stated too)

AROS-MAX question
#1
Just went to the AROS-MAX website and it says that it was updated on 10-24. Does this mean that the version of AROS-MAX was updated? Or, is it the same version that was out at the beginning of Oct.?
