This tcp/ip stack wouldn't be ka9q would it? i remember using that on Amiga and under M$-DOS as well, i seem to have an idea that may have been an open source project, but a quick google search didnt reveal a homepage. i know that there are some interesting tcp/ip prjects on sourceforge that may be worth a look at eg:http://sourceforge.net/projects/freescaleotcp/

You need to be careful. Open source is not the same as public domain. Not all open source licenses are compatible. Look here for a nice summary of licenses and how they are or are not compatible.

Notice that the AROS Public License is based on the Mozilla Public License 1.1. This is very important since earlier MPL licenses are not compatible with the GPL, forbidding the use of GPL code in the project. As it is, GPL code used by AROS is dual-licensed, under both the GPL and the APL. By the terms of the GPL, GPL code used by AROS cannot be only licensed by the APL as that would be incompatible.

If even you, who played with the software, don't know the name, how can we?

I've been playing around with MS DOS ( not Windows )
for the last couple weeks. I've been serfing for Dos apps.
I've noticed (not sure where now) atleased one
dos TCP/IP stack with source. At the time I didn't
think much of it but now I'm wondering why AROS
couldn't use it. I'm assuning since the source is
included that its open to be used or modified.
