Hmmm, I was more thinking of a amiga device for aros which would write to a file inside windows, but I guess thats tricky to do when aros thinks its running native.

My only worry with using aros like this is the reliability of the filesystem - if I'm developing stuff I'd want to have it saved on the win32 side (and probably edited and compiled there too) until it gets more stable...

Cheers, Paul.

Well, I don't know much about qemu or the other emulators out there, but one possibility is to ad to/extract from the ISO file. You could use a programs called Magic ISO Maker to do that.

http://www.magiciso.com/

I don't know if there's a better way of doing what you want. Maybe one of the emulators supports this feature

Just had a thought: You cannot (at least to my knowledge) save data when using qemu. At least I haven't been able to.

You could also try qemu. See this thread:

http://aros-exec.org/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?viewmode=thread&topic_id=235&forum=1&post_id=1973#1973

I use it with settings from that post and it works fine

Good luck

The idea has been kicked around some, but for now, emulation like VMware/Bosch (sp?) are being used instead.

Hi There,

I'm a long time amiga user who has been watching the progress of aros on and off for some time. I recently downloaded the native .iso to give it a go, and it looks excellent.

I would like to start developing some stuff for aros, but I'm not quite brave enough to just use the native version (with no way to access discs apart from aros format floppy, I ended up with a corrupt disk a couple of times yesterday, for some reason), and I don't have/want to have linux installed on my machine.

So has anyone started a port to win32?

Cheers, Paul.
