AFAIK, the only certified version of VMware which runs on Windows Vista is VMWare Workstation 6.x. That's not free, however. You should be lucky with the latest versions of Vmware server and player, though.

@paolone & others
Which version of VMWare are using on Vista? I downloaded me the latest Version (that one wehere you dont need IIS to have installed) and it keeps constantly crashing on my Vista x64.. maybe one could set up some small documentation about it?

I've just installed it, and I'm positively impressed.

I just wanted to say that VmwAROS is wonderful for the end-user. Everything configured and ready for use! It shows that there is so much more to AROS than just the nighly builds :) Again, great work. Keep it up!

Now, let me give my 5 kop. : the VmwAROS repacked with 7zip on an extra mirror. 7Zip done it almost twice as smaller (180Mb) as the zip(300+mb). File was split to 2 parts, because i`m forced to do so by the hoster.
Wondering, why don`t Paolo use 7Zip....it`s existing at least for all the platforms, that can run VmWARE. http://ifolder.ru/5001108 http://ifolder.ru/5000647 Go to these addresses. Kill the ad`s +). Enter the twisted numbers on the picture to the field next to the number an press the link just below. Get the files. Unpack the multipart archive with 7Zip (you might need newer version. There`s fresh stable 4.57 version just released on 7-zip.org for free =)) Archives must be available at least till 1 feb `08. =( Hope Paolo will release a new version until that ;) Sorry for a little russian language propaganda ;)
