So you'd need to either port over GTK or replace all the GTK calls with AmigaOS calls. You would also need to get ixemul.library going in AROS.

Speaking of Mozilla...didn't I read that there was a project called Minimo to shrink / chop bloat and little used features from Mozilla to make it run on PDA's / lower powered systems? Would this have a smaller code base to work from in porting to AROS? (Note: I am not a serious programmer, just like to tinker so I could be completely wrong). It just seems to me that a less bloated version would be a good place to start on an app for an Amiga'ish system since that is was a lot of people have liked about AmigaOS. Of course, this would rely on getting a TCP/IP stack too... ^_^

Some other apps I would like to see:
-Wings3d (Freeware 3D editor I use a lot - www.wings3d.com)
-Paintshop Pro of course (I can dream can't I?)
-PureBASIC (Easy Blitz like Basic that for a while was supported on the Amiga already, Linux too, so maybe a port could be persuaded...I am alreadya registered user)
-DarkBASIC PRO (If it could / would be ported it would need to be reworked to not run on DirectX, but something similar to this and AROS for easy creation of games would be awesome.)

Guess the big question would be, which would have better sales, Paintshop Pro or ImageFX? Although Cloanto would be a perk.

free (open) office and gimp would be good, but they are not comercial...

some small soft house and amigas/morphos softhouse would be nice porting things for aros...but dunno how and when this contact should be done.

I think Paintshop Pro would be fantastic. I also think it could be a good idea to target some smaller software houses like Omni Group. They make some really nice stuff for the Mac.

We can't hope for Photoshop - they've even dropped Mac support. Paintshop Pro is more realistic in terms of availability and price. It can do pretty much everything Photoshop can do. It'd do pretty well on the Amiga/AROS. I'd certainly pre-pay for an AROS version of Paintshop Pro. I have the Windows version and have used it in place of Photoshop for years now. An Amiga version would be killer.

well, i woul like see lot of ports, but none comercial!

if cloanto want to make a GOOD uae integration with aros, i would buy it! but nothing more!

PS: as you are bountie manager, some good bounties would be mouse scroll button support, fkey save enable, screen/window grab and iconlister auto-update after window resize. (imo)

Funny thing is, I've probably now used Open Office more then I have M$ Office. I would love to see Open Office come to AROS, but I fear that would be an even larger project then Mozillla porting.

So, any suggestions beyond M$' stuff? =)

What Commercial Amiga application should the community ask to be ported first to AROS native? Consider that whatever application has to be active and a has reasonable chance of the author(s) willing to do the port.
