Q: What is the Graphical mem, and what is other mem in Wanderer ?
is it inflict on something and can it be changed?

A: Mostly a relic from Amiga past, when graphical memory (called CHIP) was application memory before you added some other, called FAST, memory where applications ended, when graphics, sounds and some system structures were still in graphic memory.

In AROS hosted, there isn't such memory as FAST but only CHIP, when on Native AROS, CHIP can have a max of 16MB for compatibility with the ISA bus, although it wouldn't reflect the state of the graphic adapter memory: in case of ATI or NVidia drivers AROS is using all of the video card memory.

C:Avail HUMAN for memory info.

I was considered to make new AROS FAQ, filled with questions from everyday use, and helpful answers. It will be in english and translated later.
Give me the questions you have to ask, but were afraid to ask ;)
If u got an answer it`s even better =)
Come on, it will be really helpful for all.
