Just a quick update as I've started work on implementing FLAC support. The C structure of libflac is literally a pain to work with, in my humble opinion. Currently stuck on libflac generating stack overflows the moment it loads the file (my own fault most likely, as I tried decoding the entire file using FLAC__stream_decoder_process_until_end_of_stream before starting any process to send the output to AHI.) Will have to look closer on how to best implement decoding a few frames (need to figure out how this will work with the AHI buffer) , send it to AHI, rinse and repeat instead (which is the way it's handled with mpega.library). The joys of learning yet another sound library ':)

Must be something in the cleanup that causes the slowdown issue paolone. I've been testing on native under vmware without this issue occuring. I'll try it with my old AROS desktop and see if it occurs there.

Thanks for all the feedback! Shuffle is missing a check to see if the program is playing. I'll take note to add this. ':)

The load and save playlist uses the same filerequester so the name should clearly not reflect only load. This is an easy fix for the next update. Thanks for pointing it out :)

I just noticed myself as well that the default startup drawer got changed somehow during the coding of the 'last used drawer' part for 0.24. It will be changed back and I'll see how to best implement storing 'default startup folder'. Probably a button in settings would be the best solution. This way it's up to you if you want to use a specific folder as the default startup location for the player.

Regarding album art its certainly possible to do this. Once I've gone through the code and cleaned it up I'll look into adding it as an option in the theme and look into adding FLAC support as well.

With the 'double click to open file' bug, I believe this is an error on my part. While updating the code I've probably broken some of the code for the input. I'll have to look a bit more into whats causing that to happen.

Save playlist requester show Load Playlist button instead of Save Playlist. It still works as it should though.

How difficult would it be to show album art if present?

If player can accept FLAC format and show album art I give you 50 Euro.

edit: Would be nice if the player saved last possition automatic or option to save possition in settings or prefs.

When Open File after startup I get System requester "please insert volume "System" in any drive
I think if you change to SYS: instead of System: as defalut path it will be solved.

If I have ArosAmp as default mp3 player it does not start when I click a mp3 file icon. The player opens but the song does not load into the player.

The song info should scroll after a few sec. as the song, artist info is most of the times to long but the player does not.

Thanks for the feedback! Saving the last location to file on exit so it loads back on open if saved can certainly be added. I'll also be sure to add a check for the close button in the settings window on next release :)
