@Pasquale
Your test works for me with the ABIv0 linux-i386 2018-07-23 nightly. I'm using Ubuntu 16.04 with ext4. I ran the following commands: MakeDir SYS:Utilities/test Echo test >SYS:Utilities/test/test.catalog Search SYS: #?.catalog FILE ALL PATTERN ...and the test catalog was one of the listed files.

Create a directory "test" into "sys:utilities" then from shell type:
echo test >sys:utilities/test/test.catalog finally try to search all ".catalog" files in your system. Do you see it into results? I don't! HFinder, as suggested above, is a good replacement, it is sufficient to rename it to "Find" and then copy it into "sys:system"; works also from command line.

@Pasquale
Do you have an example that's more easily reproducible? E.g. an example of not finding some files that are in a standard build? I have an Ubuntu VM with ext4, and I'd be happy to debug this if I can reproduce it.

Yes, that's the correct syntax.
I don't think the Find program uses C:Search (at least SYS:System/Find doesn't).

OK, this is an example:
on my system i have a lot of catalog files and all them have extension ".catalog". Almost all them are into "System:Locale/Catalogs" directory. Now i have another directory "System:Utilities/OWB" where i have another not empty catalog file "test.catalog". I want to search all catalog files on my system, so from command line type: Search SYS: #?.catalog FILE PATTERN ALL is it right? I do not have checked for them inside "System:Locale/Catalogs" but the one inside "System:Utilities/OWB" is not recognized. Also using the GUI find utility from Workbench gets the same result. This is only an example but i have noticed other similar issues.
