Yes, one of my keyboards has a US layout, and I can confirm that the backslash key works with the "American (PC 105)" setting.

Try setting another US keyboard in prefs. I'm using native, but that worked for me.

On both my VirtualBox (Icaros 2.2.1) and Acer ZG5 (Icaros 2.2.2) AROS installs I cannot use the pipe/backslash key on the Default US keyboard mapping. The key is located under the backspace key.
Does anyone know hot to fix this?
