but as far as ive been able to test it it worked surprisingly well, considering lack of maintenance. apart from non working keyboard as ive mentioned elsewhere, that is. btw, there was a topic on dev ml about how to debug that, but so far none has done that.

iggy, here i third post are my directions about how to compile i mentioned on aorg:
http://aros-exec.org/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=10828&forum=2

other than that refer to aros compile page. you can either pull the sources from jasons githib or main svn repo.

To be honest, iggy, the PPC port has been mostly neglected. It has had a little love recently because someone wanted to run it in Qemu,

Finally been able to register and get in to AROS Exec. The registration is a bit borked right now and hopefully will get fixed as I know other people want to get in(Also if things go right I might be able to get some CS students from the local Uni's to sign up.)

I used to program/own Amigas in College in the States. An A2000 in the US and I ordered a A4000 when I got back to Malaysia. It cost me more than an X5000. I was poking around all things Amiga, emulation, OS4.1 and decided that AROS seems to be the best(and cheapest native) experience.

So i've compiled the OS natively(X86_64 and i386 ABIv1) several times, poked around the source code, gotten access to the SVN.

I figure it will take me a year at least to be able to start contributing to AROS, more if things pick up(I am currently taking a short break to re-traing myself on Data Science related skillsets). I am hoping to focus on small bug fixes and updating documentation but move in drivers and improving OS stability.(I do a degree in Electronics but that was ages ago).
