Icaros Desktop is not yet released to the public (beta testers and patrons only), just in case anybody wonders, where to get it. Thanks for the bug report. I have not yet encountered the write protection problem. The missing extended rom is just a warning, but a known issue.

Although the GUI seems to be complete, there might still be occasions, where manually editing of the config files is still necessary.

Currently I have no time to fix any bugs, but they are noted.

I do not know the progress of JanusUAE2, Amikit use AFA OS, make sure you have configured one CPU 040/JIT FPU. If you want to use one CPU 060 you have to update the system libraries, council MMULib with these libraries you can use any of them CPU (you must also install all MMU libraries even if they do not work together with JIT)

JanusUAE2 quirks (can't remove Write Protection from Hard Disk Directory and not allocate RAM)

Hello.. I downloaded Icaros Desktop 2.2.2 Update and I tried to run AmiKit on JanusUAE2.. Emulation starts. but write protected. I didn't use HDF Files.. anyway.. I tried to change to R/W but that doesn't work... AmiKit boots into the AmiKIt boot Screen.. but then fails..

When I save the configuration with my Kickstart.. on next boot.. JanusUAE2 complains about missing extended ROM File!

When I give 512 MB RAM to the Emulation and save the configuration.. the RAM doesn't show up on next configuration load up!

JFYI O1i
