Could this error message dialog be extended to provide a third button as option for opening another dialog to make the missing assign to a directory, the user can choose in the new dialog? I think I've seen such an option in AmigaOS3.9 a long time ago...

I happened with the game aquaria, he asked me proc :, I assigned it to the directory of the game

mazze: Long time ago I used assign.
I will assign etc: and add it to user-startup? Could you fill inn the line for me. Do I need to direct this to every program or game I get this message or could it be a global thing? assign etc: ?? Mazze: Another strange thing is that when I open GraphX2 it get the message "No joystick in port 0" or something like that. The game Pushover give me stack overflow. I increased the stack size in icon but did not help.

The error is likely coming from sdl_mixer when it tries to open /etc/timidity.cfg. An assign let's the error disappear.

I almost never use a CD either: it was a CD image in VBox
 The problem will probably go away if you install dev tools. However, these games should run without having to install dev tools, so that's just a workaround.
