Technically true, but completely irrelevant here.
Find me ONE SINGLE board that is xhci only. It cant be done.

Beezle: not true.
New hardware with XHCI-only controllers, means no-longer fall back to EHCI (usb 2.0) stack.

USB3 ports will work, they just behave as usb2.
Dont use that as a deciding factor on a board as it's pretty much irrelevant.

It would be a good thing to have USB audio and USB networking (as we already have) as it would solve most problems being compatible with hardware.
USB 3 is as said being looked at by Neil and then it would be a matter of updated mesa, gfx drivers. I would prefer being compatible with Intel gpus as they are present in lot's of laptops and mobos. Not only that but their drivers are open source so in Linux world they are at least as good as the windows drivers. The more recent Intel gpus are also good enough for most. They are also quiet and power friendly. I don't see it very likely that we get the latest, most damanding games ported to AROS that would require Nvidia or AMD gpu. Nvidia reversed engined open source drivers are also dead slow compared to Nvidia drivers. At least with their latest arcitectures. AMD is a different story as their are much more open to the open source world but again more power demanding and not that much present in laptops. Was it Intel outside or inside :P

Cool. I'd be happy to chip in for that too.

Did not see that. If you use the usb 2 ports you should be ok. Seams like a nice mobo for AROS :)
I don't know if sound will work but if not it is possible that with usb 3 implemented Neil can look at sound using usb soundcard. We can give him some money to implement it if needed.

I thought it might work because the spec sheet claims it has USB 2.0 ports:https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/H110I-PLUS-CSM/specifications/
Thanks for the help. I'll keep searching!

Not that one. We don't have support for USB 3 yet.
It is possible that we get USB 3 soon though. I know Neil is looking into it but difficult to say whey it is ready. Find something older with USB 2 and Intel chipset. You can also use android phone and share internet throug USB. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lr32aa3z3dQ&feature=youtu.be

Hmmmm... I guess the only way for Mini-ITX to work is with ethernet or a usb wifi dongle given the PCIe slot is going to be taken by the graphics card. Could a SATA drive be connected in legacy mode?
If the above stars aligned... maybe this mobo would work? https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/H110I-PLUS-CSM/overview/
