What do you all recommend for a rar file?
7zip does not like it. I am using Wind.

So, to clarify installation procedure:
1) create some kind of virtual machine with usb support enabled. 2) boot AspireOS from ISO 3) plug in USB stick and install from virtual machine to USB, make it bootable 4) boot from usb on the real machine and install it to harddrive Aros iso image is not compatible with dd or unetbootin or any iso>usb writer.

elwis: You should also install AROS on the usb-stick from the virtual mashine. From the installer you need to format the usb drive first. USB storage device will be named DU1 from the installer format tool. Reboot and you should see a drive on WB. Run installer and install to that drive and you can now plug the USB drive into whatever hardware you like and boot from it. Be sure to select native GFX for your ACER aspire one. VESA is for hardware with no compatible accellerated GFX card hardware.
This should work good but more easy way is to use Optical disk drive and boot AROS CD, DVD directly to the hardware and install from there. Sure would need USB optical disk drive as ACER aspire one has no integrated optical disk hardware.

Finally got some time to play with this one.
So, to clarify installtion procedure: 1) create some kind of virtual machine (vmware, vbox etc) 2) install AspireOS from ISO 3) start virtual machine 4) plug in USB stick and install from virtual machine to USB, make it bootable 5) boot from usb on the real machine and install it to harddrive Maybe a shortcut would be to just use dd iso -> usb?
