I thought it was more than that but its been a while. I only needed ethernet (wired) working when I used a D620 as a server, I've since replaced it with a raspberry Pi.
The broadcom wireless I replaced with an atheros (though the last one I did I still can't get working with AROS)

You have to download a pre-compiled driver from broadcom to use it so broadcom would have to write one for AROS.

I'd bet you'll run into the same issue as Linux drivers where the Broadcom specs are not available.

If I had to guess, I'd say people are more interested in WiFi when considering laptops. It may be worth emphasising that a Broadcom Ethernet driver would be useful with a lot of desktops and laptops from various manufacturers, i.e. I would choose a title of "Broadcom Ethernet driver".

Yes, there's no reason why the driver can't be endian neutral, and that should be a requirement IMHO.

Hi,
Curious if there was any interest at the moment for the above, I understand Kal attempted this a few years ago MCM57xx Broadcom NetXtreme and II?? covering Dell D600 to D830 and maybe D510 to D530 and D410 to D430 Bounty ends when binary driver is tested with a few hardware options 32bit and 64bit and source placed in the AROS repositry Unknown Not sure if BCM57xxx would be as well ?? Can the driver be endian neutral ?? Regards Jeff
